Get to know Me
I started riding a the age of about 7/8 at a local riding school just as the majority of us do! Riding a huge variety of horses really developed my skills and confidence from a young age. This was how Franny and I came to cross paths... read on to find out more about my Herd.

I studied my degree in Equine Sports Performance at Bishop Burton College which boasts some of the best equestrian facilities in the UK.
I am a qualified Equine Psychologist and certified NLP Practitioner (which stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming) as well as being trained in Horse First Aid.
Franny
Old Faithful Franny entered my life whilst at the riding school and became my first pony when I was 11. We did EVERYTHING you can imagine... including Jumping, Showing, Side-Saddle, Hunting, Cross Country, even Barrel Racing and everything in between!

She has made many other little girls (and older "girls"!) very happy over the years. Building confidence in all whilst jumping and galloping everywhere possible with a cheeky smile on her face.

She is now living a happy life of retirement at a friend's farm getting fat and hairy.
Maz
At the age of 16, just about to start my A-Levels and no longer able to compete on ponies, I set off to the sales with a wadge of my ever supportive Dad's cash and came back with Maz. A "typical" ex-racer 2 weeks off the track.

She was the best risk I ever took

A tricky but kind mare, she had a lot of issues both physically and mentally. We spent all of our years seeking to find a level of harmony and understanding. I had some of my highest highs and lowest lows aboard her back.

She is the very reason I founded FDIEC and made the leap towards actively pursuing my calling.
She is my WHY?
My reason for wanting to pass on my knowledge and help others gain a greater understanding and see a bigger picture - if I'd known then what I know now our years together would have been far less turbulent. She taught me so much.

I was devastated when the day came to say goodbye after she sustained an unmanageable Sacroiliac injury in 2018.
Nutmeg
Nutmeg came into my life in 2015 after popping up on my Facebook news feed. By chance, I was viewing a horsebox in relative proximity to the stud and my Dad suggested we make a double trip! The rest is history... I'd always said I wanted a horse with Maz's ability but Franny's brain. I really feel like I found that in her.

The tiny little thing that flopped off the horsebox (Yes that one! It was an expensive weekend!) at just 5 months old has blossomed into a strong, balanced and well-rounded little horse. After Maz's departure, she was there to take up that bridle, raise me high above the ground once more and make me remember to believe I can conquer the world from the back of my horses - just as Franny had made me believe all those years earlier.

You will see Nutmeg in many of my social media posts, demo videos and in my logo! She is the proudest achievement and a biggest example of my horsemanship.
